Here is a delightful tribal steampunk style necklace crafted out of a vintage sterling silver plated spoons.
This is the "Magnolia" pattern made in 1951. I've cut, drilled and polished the pieces to create a wonderful wearable upcycled piece of earth friendly art.
The fork tines remind me of teeth and the central spoon suggestes a sort of skull shape. It gives a somewhat tribal feeling to the necklace.
Each recycled statement necklace I create is different. Even if I bend the forks and spoons into similar shapes, every piece reacts in a unique and often unpredictable way, especially when I add stones to them. No two I do are ever quite the same. You can truly say you are wearing a one-of-a-kind work of art.
